Overview

We are looking for a strong Middle / Middle+ Business Analyst to support a development team delivering AI and data solutions within a clinical research environment. You will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and translated into actionable development tasks. The role requires a solid understanding of data concepts and AI-related solutions, combined with strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Client: Our client is a contract research organization (CRO) providing full‑service clinical trial management for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Project Overview: The project focuses on developing AI- and data-driven solutions to support clinical trial operations, analytics, and decision‑making. These solutions may include data platforms, analytics dashboards, AI-assisted workflows, and intelligent tools that enhance trial planning, execution, and monitoring. Strong collaboration between business and technical teams is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Support backlog refinement, prioritization, and sprint planning activities
  • Ensure alignment between business goals and delivered technical solutions
  • Work with data engineers and AI specialists to define requirements for:
  • Understand data sources, data flows, and key metrics used in clinical trials
  • Assist in defining data quality, validation, and traceability requirements
  • Act as a liaison between clinical operations, product owners, and development teams
  • Facilitate workshops, grooming sessions, and requirement walkthroughs
  • Clarify scope, assumptions, and dependencies with all stakeholders
  • Support demos and review sessions with business users
  • Create and maintain project documentation (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process diagrams)
  • Support change management and impact analysis for evolving requirements
  • Ensure requirements align with regulatory and compliance expectations typical for clinical research environments (e.g., GxP-related considerations)
  • Review delivered functionality against acceptance criteria
  • Continuously refine requirements based on feedback and project learnings
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in software or data projects
  • Experience supporting development teams in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong skills in requirements elicitation, documentation, and backlog management
  • Practical understanding of data-driven systems, analytics platforms, or AI-enabled solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
  • Experience writing user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
  • Familiarity with SQL, data models, APIs, or system integrations (conceptual level is sufficient)
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in structured, regulated environments
Nice To Have:
  • Experience working in clinical trials, life sciences, pharma, or CRO environments
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts, analytics, or data science projects
  • Experience with data platforms, BI tools, or dashboards
  • Understanding of validation, auditability, or compliance requirements (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, etc.)
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or similar
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams
