ART announces an open call for an expert for development of ART Strategy (2025-2028), Financial Policy and Operations Manual

The task will entail:
1. A reflection on the Foundation’s previous work with critical reflection and learning on where the Foundation has been particularly effective and successful, where not, what can it build on, etc.;
2. Consultations with ART, Board of Trustees, key target groups and stakeholders;
3. Updates to the context analysis, including challenges and opportunities in ART directions of work and adaptation measures that ART can take;
4. Analysis of the implications of strategy on the organization’s fundraising and PR, its future trajectory and sustainability.

Role of the consultant(s)

ART expects the selected consultant(s) to:
– Conduct a basic review of ART strategy, financial policy and operations manual, undertake consultations with key stakeholders towards development of the mentioned strategic documents of the Foundation;
– Facilitate strategy development consultations and workshop with ART and key stakeholders and prepare strategy of Foundation for 2025-2028 with implementation plan;
– Develop ART Financial Policy in consultation with ART chief accountant, accountant, executive and programme directors;
– Develop ART Operations Manual in consultation with ART senior management.

Timeframe This assignment is expected to require approximately 15 consultancy days and is anticipated to be carried out over a period of 2 months, starting in March 2025. The consultant(s) will work closely with the ART senior management, which will supervise the consultant’s work, progress and deliverables. The progress will be assessed on a regular basis so that any required adaptation can be agreed in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:
Individual consultants and team of consultants competent to develop one or more of the required strategic documents of the Foundation and possessing the qualifications outlined below are invited to apply.

1. Demonstrated track record of successfully facilitating and developing participatory strategy document, financial policy and operations manual.
2. Demonstrated experience in facilitating organizational development of non-profit organizations.
3. Experience with the development of Monitoring and Evaluation plans.
4. Programme design and methodological experience in relation to development and emergency fields of work will be considered an asset.
5. Experience with Church related organizations will be considered a plus.
