Overview
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with experience in real design system work, including building and maintaining global components. In this role, you will help improve consistency, support adoption across the team, and work across different product areas as needs evolve.
Project Overview:
This project is focused on strengthening a shared design system used across multiple product areas. The work includes maintaining global components, improving consistency, and supporting wider adoption of the system within the team.
- Update and maintain global components within the design system.
- Clean up inconsistencies across shared design assets and patterns.
- Support the rest of the team in adopting the design system properly.
- Identify inconsistencies and edge cases that have not been flagged.
- Raise issues that affect shared components and downstream usage.
- Work across unfamiliar product areas as priorities shift.
- 5+ years of product design experience.
- Experience with real design system work in the candidate's background, not only using a design system.
- Experience building and maintaining global components.
- Understanding of variants, tokens, library publishing, and the downstream impact of changing a shared component.
- Strong visual design skills, including typography, spacing, and hierarchy.
- Ability to recognize when a design appears inconsistent or visually off.
- Ability to identify inconsistencies and edge cases and raise them clearly.
- Comfort working across unfamiliar product areas as needs shift.
