SoftConstruct is on a search for a new player to join our team.

We are looking for a strong Junior to Mid-level QA Engineer to join our engineering team. If you have a solid foundation in web technologies, hands-on experience with daily web and API troubleshooting, and use SQL for routine data verification, you’ll fit right in. You’ll work closely with developers and product managers to ensure our software is polished, functional, and user-friendly.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development, execution, and maintenance of comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Perform thorough manual testing of web applications to identify bugs, performance, and usability issues.
  • Use SQL to query databases, manage test data, and retrieve system information to verify various testing scenarios.
  • Work closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and expectations
  • Report defects and track them to resolution using issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Perform regression, functional, and exploratory testing to ensure software quality
  • Verify the fixes of reported issues and perform retesting to confirm defect resolution
  • Document testing processes and results to ensure proper traceability
  • Continuously learn and apply new testing techniques and technologies to stay current
Required Qualifications:
  • Understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in software testing (specifically web applications).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for queries and database validation.
  • Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.
  • Basic familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git/GitHub.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies and team workflows.
  • Familiarity with manual testing processes, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing
  • Knowledge of bug-tracking tools such as JIRA or similar platforms
  • Ability to write clear and concise test cases and reports
  • Familiarity with test management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience or exposure to testing methodologies like functional and regression testing
